lychee, fiddleback 1c bc webAnother short day in the shop.  We decided to add a racing strip along the neck length.  Tried Koa but it just wasn’t that interesting against the mahogany.  However, found a colorful piece of Lychee in the bin.  Milled it to about 1/8″ wide and did a glue-up with 2 strips of maple (less than 1/16″ wide) for contrast, one on each side.  As you can see, I embrace the “you can never have enough clamps” mantra.

Played around with the new neck scarf cutting jig.  As you can see in the photo, the angle is a perfect 15 deg.  Jigs are a wonderful thing.
