I created the End Patch inlay today (an End Patch is on the bottom of the ukulele covering the seam).  It was a difficult and rewarding job.  Five different passes of the CNC machine using 0.0157″ bits were required over 3 different materials.  The background of the inlay is Padauk, a reddish hardwood.  The alien is Gaspite Yellow Green recon stone, because that’s what aliens are made of.  The eyes are Black Mother-of-Pearl shell.
