Did some basic clean-up work, the most important being adding some accent to the hand-cut white mother-of-pearl inlay. Inlay against Koa is “ok” and you can see how it looked in the previous post. I decided to use a spoon-shader on my wood burner to provide shadow for the inlay. I think it “pops” more.
Wanted to see what the whole thing looked like so attached the neck and took a couple of pictures (not very good pictures 🙄 ). The only thing left to do is make and locate the bridge, then finishing! It’s been rainy so it’ll be a good week or more before I can start that process. Once done, a bit of fret dressing, install the tuning pegs, and we have an ukulele!
